Silkworm, also known as an "insect from God," refers to the larva of silk moth. The life of a silkworm transforms from an egg to a larva to a pupa and finally, to a moth. Silkworm is divided into thirteen joints and has black markings. Silkworm is a larva with black fur when first hatched from an egg, and after four molting stages it peels off and builds up its cocoon by reeling silk off from itself. Silkworm, then, transforms into a pupa inside the cocoon and finally becomes a moth.
* Body: It is a cylinder shape divided into head, thorax (three joints) and abdomen (ten joints). Specifically the abdomen is divided into seven abdomen joints and three tail joints. Silkworm has fourteen joints when it is an embryo, but the 13th and the 14th joints are put together eventually during the development stage.

* Head : Simple eye, antenna and mouth is in the head. Antenna is a pair near the bottom part of the head, and has sense of taste and smell. The fan-shaped eye is a simple eye form of six pairs, but they do not have the visual function. The mouth consists of labrum, mandible, maxilla, and labium; the spinneret is located at the center of the labium.

* Thoracopodium : Thoracopodium works as food supporting sod. It is of three pairs, each pair located in the first to the third joint.
* Abdominal appendage : Abdominal appendage is used to mobilize the body. It is of four pairs, each pair located in the sixth to the ninth joint.
* Caudal appendage: Caudal appendage is used for adherence purposes. It is of a single pair, located in the thirteenth joint.
* Caudal horne spine: It is a pair located in the dorsum part of the eleventh joint
* Stomata : It is of nine pairs in oval shapes, each on the side of the first joint and from the fourth to the eleventh joint.
